Irony of ironies

I finally got a copy of Getting things done from Amazon about 3 weeks ago. Now if only I could find the time to read it…

Order the audiobook and listen to it in the background a couple of times, and you’ll find yourself making time to read it and put it into action.

    Dave,

It’s not really irony if every GTD starter has that feeling 🙂 You have no choice, whatever happens – you need to lock yourself up for two days straight and get through all your Piles of Stuff. Don’t let anything else in. Make sure you have lots of empty floor space to sort out piles. Make sure you’ve read the whole book at least once and are going through it a second time when you start the weekend.

Trust me, you’ll thank me for it.

    Good luck!

I agree with Rusty. I just got the audio book version, and I’m listening to it in the background while I’m working. Now I can’t wait to listen to it when I can give it my main focus.

BTW: They have it on Audible (abridged and unabridged). Currently you can get your first 3 months for $7.50 or first 14 days free (audible.com/twit).

    Thus far I’m liking GTD.

This is exactly what happened to me! I’ve had my (unread) copy for 6 months. I keep it in view so that maybe I’ll pick it up. But I never quite seem to get around to it.

Once it finally arrives, you can do what I did – read half and never finish it.

At this point, I’m just not finishing it so I can keep retelling that as a joke.
