• Florian Müllner improved the GNOME Shell to switch from the overview to the confirmation dialog some applications display before closing, when an application is closed from the overview . (GNOME bug 602532).
• Also in the GNOME Shell, to support a message tray, Dan Winship added a notification daemon service.
• After doing a first serie of commands two weeks ago, Xavier Claessens added support for the /nick command to Empathy . (GNOME bug 602066)

• A full screen mode has been added to emerillon (GNOME bug 599764).
• John Wendell fixed several memory leaks in Vinagre and gtk-vnc.
• A new “Document License” tab has been added to Evince, it can display license information embedded in PDF files (GNOME bug 349173)
• In GNOME Games, gnometris got renamed to quadrapassel (due to trademark concerns), and same-gnome to swell-foop (due to “GNOME” in the old name).
• Support for group profiles has been added to Sabayon, thanks to Scott Balneaves.

• Eog got support for animated images, it plays animated images as supported by GdkPixbufAnimation (GNOME bug 335093).
• gnome-pilot was ported to GtkBuilder, and removed most of its usage of libgnomeui.

• Philippe Rouquier commited a new layout for the Brasero user interface: the medium selector is still inside the main window and on clicking burn a dialog appears to set the session burning options
• In both libgoffice and gnumeric Andreas J. Guelzow improved Open Document Format support (number style output, scientific number output, time and date styles, import of currency symbols, and much more).
• F-Spot Adjust Time dialog, and gnome-session windows, have been ported from libglade to GtkBuilder.
• A Python binding for libbrasero-burn has been added to gnome-python-desktop.
• As explained in his Data about Data weblog post, Alexander Larsson added metadata support in gvfs, and already made Nautilus use it.

• GTK+ and glib switched to git.gnome.org; so Alexander Larsson sent in his client-side-windows branch; in the meantime Dan Winship published a glib branch adding GResolver, a glib-ish interface to DNS.
• Gerd Kohlberger migrated gok to libcanberra; it was the last module using esound.
• Anjuta git plugin got checkout support; and the project import wizard has been replaced by a simpler dialog that allows to import directly from a version control system.
• A patch by Simon van der Linden got commited to gnome-terminal, adding a “Leave Fullscreen” menu item (GNOME bug 566335).
• Totem switched from bacon-message-connection to libunique (GNOME bug 162822), also a new D-Bus Service plugin (GNOME bug 576016) and the YouTube plugin was ported to C, using the new libgdata library.
• Matthew Barnes continues his hard work removing bonobo usage from evolution, he finished attachment dragndrop in the composer window.
• Evince fading animations got fixed (the next page was displayed before animation started).
• Empathy was fixed so IRC commands without special support are no longer sent as plaintext . (GNOME bug 577026).
• Rhythmbox improved his support for MTP devices; it now creates album objects on the device when transferring songs, and sends the album art to the device if it supports the JPEG file type.

• The panel got lockdown support to prevent it being dragged to a different screen edge . (GNOME bug 309721).

• Jonh Wendell rewrote the vinagre applet, to use GObject, fixing the way it works on transparent panels in the process (GNOME bug 568674); he also commited a rewritten Vino Preferences dialog, with the ability to check if the machine can be accessed though the Internet.
• Seed got opengl-glib girs and a glxgears port.
• In Nautilus, gnome-desktop and gnome-settings-daemon, patches from Ray Strode landed, adding support for fading between backgrounds.
• Anjuta got upgraded to use GtkPrint, removing its dependency on libgnomeprint/ui . (GNOME bug 564659)
• Patches by Tomeu Vizoso were commited to evince to move code to a libeviview library, so it can be embedded in other applications, Tomeu blogged about it . (GNOME bug 567751)
• John Stowers came back on conduit, applying patches and fixing many bugs.
• In Epiphany Gustavo Noronha added multiple keyword-based AND-search for the location bar.
• GTK+ got support for select-by-word in selectable labels, marks on GtkScale, and improved autocompletion in the file chooser entry.

• After support for icons has been added in GTK+ last week (and I forgot to note it), Matthias Clasen added a section in the documentation on porting from SexyIconEntry.
• libgnome dependency got removed from sound-juicer, libgnome/libgnomeui from gfloppy, and bonobo from the Anjuta toolbar.
• Nemiver variable inspector widget now remember history of the variables . (GNOME bug 536259)
• Evince got its printing system reworked, making the GUI responsive during printing, with progress information . (GNOME bug 482770)
• The system log viewer in gnome-utils has been rewritten by Cosimo Cecchi.
• Metacity got the “Maximize” shortcut to act as “Restore” for maximised windows.
• Epiphany/gecko got some Gecko 1.9.1 fixes, and Epiphany/webkit can now open new links in new tabs thanks to the new Policy Decision system in WebKit.
• The new GNOME Volume Control got a few alert sounds (bark, drip, glass and sonar).
• Rhythmbox switched to a normal GtkTooltip, rather than a custom arrangement of widgets in a SexyTooltip

• Totem got a new Jamendo plugin in totem, a patch from David Jean Louis (GNOME bug 561811) (a screenshot is posted below).
• Empathy lost its libgnomeui dependency and evince dropped its libglade one.
• gtk-doc now highlights deprecation warnings, and they are now also supported in signals and properties (GNOME bug 562655).
• glib added functions for shadowed mounts (a mount is said to be shadowed if there exists one or more user visible objects (currently GMount objects) with a root that is inside the root of mount.) and nautilus started using them.
• Behdad Esfahbod continued his vte cleaning.
• Dan Winship moved Luxembourg (city) out of Belgium (GNOME bug #562772).
• anjuta devhelp plugin got updated to devhelp/webkit (GNOME bug #560311) and got a button to access online API help (library.gnome.org)
• Federico Mena Quintero added support to use libnotify for errors displayed by gnome-settings-daemon xrandr module
• GTK+ (trunk) got a method to draw progress in a GtkEntry (GNOME bug 546285), this was prompted by Epiphany developers wondering about a progress-in-location-bar idea.

• The getting-rid-of-libgnome-and-gnome-vfs quest continues with Ekiga losing its dependency on libgnome and Anjuta removing some gnome-vfs usage
• Matthias Clasen added lockdown support in the gnome-settings-daemon keybinding plugin (GNOME bug 553434)
• In rhythmbox Christophe Fergeau switched several g_timeout_add to g_timeout_add_seconds so it wakes up the CPU less often; and Bastien Nocera added detection of the new PSP-3000
• Bedhad Esfahbod added pangocairo backend to vte, and made it the default; it is as fast as the xft backend.
• NetworkManager got support for PKCS#12 private keys
• Evince got support for PDF layers (but it doesn’t seem like such support has been merged in poppler yet)
• Murray Cumming created projects.gnome.org, to host project pages that were on www.gnome.org/projects/; he posted to devel-announce to explain the motivation and implications
• Finally, in GTK+-land, Michael Natterer added the new orientation API to GtkRange
