It isn’t actually a compiz bug, I’m using Hardy alpha with Metacity (as compositer) and I have the same problem.

Well, metacity’s compositor is still pretty new, and it’s based on the old and quite buggy xcompmgr. I’ve used xcompmgr for a year, so I speak from experience. I’m not surprised Ubuntu isn’t switching just yet.

I just wonder why they don’t use metacity with the new compositor. It’s much less annoying…
