@Moras
i doubt the project is dead since i ubuntu is putting the program into its next distro release i believe. i like the program also though it does seem to take a long time to render projects even though i have a 2.6ghz quad core processor.

I can't wait. This program seems to be very solid so far. It's got nearly all the basic features I've been looking for: ability to separate audio from visual, representations of both audio and visual, a clean concise UI and doesn't ramp my CPU to 80% or higher which allows for smooth playback. When transitions and effects come into play this will be excellent. Keep up the good work.

Christoph, Ignacius : Video mixing (and therefore transitions) have been postponed for the time being due to some severe performance issues which we decided not to induce on users for this release. It's being worked on though, don't worry about that (you can checkout the 'videomixer' branch in my personal git repository on git.pitivi.org).

The planned features for the next release (which will might most likely happen within the next 4 weeks) are merging all the UI work Brandon has been working on, as well as (finally) merging the videomixer branch if we can make it fast enough.

Wasn't supposed to have transitions in for this version? Has there been any progress on this? Is there any new roadmap?

Hallo Edward, when PiTiVi 0.13.2 has beend released, I was told that PiTiVi 0.13.3 will get transitions and effects. Obviously this has been postponed. Do you know when animations will be implemented?
