So, what you are saying is that Nokia should get involved in *any* activity related to Gnome ? I doubt they would agree. Even if they did, there would be the usual problem with big companies: the left hand does not know what the right does.
I understand there was no money involved, but hey, Nokia has the right to decide in which ways to get involved with Gnome and in which ways not to - isn't Gnome about freedom, after all ? :)
This whole thing sounds like a storm in a teacup if you ask me.

Yes, you are right too, and following your line, i've the right to comment it!, if there are right for everything.
But what i want to point it, is that Nokia don't see a real market in OSS in Chile, and that's not only a Nokia problem, that's part of our digital gap, we're too small and to undeveloped that we only can get IT from the past, IT deprecated in Europe or USA. In Spain i was able to buy Nokia 770 at shop, in Chile i can't!.

haha - yes, you are free to comment ;-)
Concerning the point on Chile's digital gap, I think you are wrong. I am in Boston right now, and I cannot buy a 770 in any store I know of. I see how in some big telephony markets in Europe it could be sold as a cool gizmo tho (it is not all that useful *yet* if you ask me ;-).
Concerning OSS markets, well, some people would question the existence of OSS markets in the first place - look a the leader of the pack, RHAT is barely making $300M/year, that is small potatoes compared to even relatively small proprietary software companies. What I am saying is, Microsoft can afford to chase all markets, while OSS operators cannot (yet) - but don't despair: RHAT's purchase of those two small companies in Argentina and Brazil is clearly designed to establish both Spanish and Portoughese speaking presence in the southern cone.
By the way, is Chile currently a MSFT monocolture in the enterprise, just like Italy is ?

May be u can't at USA, but still there are a lot of IT that we don't find it here. and yes Chile is very MSFT monoculture, however we keep working every day to change this, even if we just give 2 cents. My rant is dedicated to Nokia Chile because i feel that they can do more, if they want.
