I really was impressed by the likenesses to Fedora 10; however, my CD drive (Inspiron 2650, therefore bog-standard laptop-PATA easy replacement?) crawls and the install fails when it can't unmount the CD. The 10u6 iso is not even bootable. Why in blazes does this latest LiveCD want to unmount the CD for an install, and why wasn't 10u6 bootable? Metaquestion: Why do the massive matches in defect.opensolaris.org not seem to relate yet....

The new release is installing now! I love what I've seen so far! Especially that sound works straight away now - I don't need OSS.
