Copyright issues for logos?

I want to use the GNOME foot, the KDE cog and the XFCE cross logos for the respective desktop group icons in gnome-packagekit.

Copyright issues? Trademarks? Am I allowed to ship these icons in the tarball? The licence of gnome-packagekit is GPLv2+ if that helps. Advice appreciated.

There doesn't seem to be anything “official” from the xfce project. You'll have the email and ask them yourself. Lazyweb posts only go so far… http://foundation.gnome.org/licensing/guidelines/ http://www.kde.org/stuff/clipart.php
