So when I was checking out the stats for my hosting out I noticed that people have actually ended up here -_-.. What are you people thinking? Somehow my blog made it on to the first page for “Edgy Pam Keyring” on Google… I’ve had to delete that post because it was useless anyway.
But it got me thinking. Why have a blog? I guess the only reason I ever wanted to have a domain under my belt was as a promotional tool. Something to stick on a CV and say this is what I can do. At the end of the day, I have a dream. Well two. Google… Canonical.. are you reading
??
Sure, I always wanted to run the kind of site which was packed with information. Bursting without useful stuff that we all could do with knowing. The problem is that i’m a coder, not a technical writer or a web/ui designer. I settled on a blog as a way to have a web presence where I could establish myself. But blog about what?
- I don’t think I want to bullet point my daily grind, i’m sure no one ones to read that.
- I don’t really want to make too many strong “political” posts and get flamed out of existence
- I don’t want to do technical articles, or i’ll start waffling (worse than I am now)
So it’s likely this page will turn in to a cross between “Grumpy Young Lads” and “hey, go check out Conduit!”
