As a brazillian I must say "I love tapioca".
Be careful on calling UI love, the current UI is perfect: simple as should be.
The only add-on that I would want is a notification icon and maybe a notification popup.

First of all, thank you all for the feedback, this is very nice and welcome.
I just would like to clarify a point here that i saw a lot of people saying. What is the difference between Ekiga and Tapioca??
First Tapioca is a framework, and not a application like Ekiga. This means, that you can build your own application do talk to GTalk or any service Tapioca provides using the framework.
Another difference is that afaik Ekiga does not support XMPP/Jabber. Ekiga supports SIP/H323, so it can't connect to GTalk, while Tapioca can.
I am not saying Tapioca is better than Ekiga or the other way around, what i am trying to explain, is that they are both different projects, with different goals, and can live together ;).
I hope i clarified some things here
Now go get Tapioca :D

Since this is a framework, is it the kind of thing that could be added to Gaim to give it SIP support?

Phil,
For sure a gaim plugin is possible, and not only for SIP, but for XMPP too (including audio capabilities). If you wanna give it a try, it would be awesome.

Since Ekija is quite mature, would it not be better to pull out a back end / framework from it, rather than start a new one? Will the two projects grow together?
