GTK 3.6?

This CSS:
@import url("/usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-3.0/gtk-main.css")
* {
  transition-property: color, background-color, background-image;
  transition-duration: 0.5s;
}

gives me this:

Now I just need to merge the code and Lapo will be busy for the next cycle.

I didn’t know these kinds of animations were planned, but some would certainly be welcome. I’m mostly wary of the lack of contrast midway through some transitions.

This would certainly benefit from some design team involvement. I can’t wait to see what classy effects we could come up with.

Haha, fantastic. Now we just need keyframe animations, and we’re all set.

Random internet guy loves your work!

You’re 1 day too late!

I see the potential, especially when changing between focused and backdrop!

I’d now find a way to synchronise gtk rendering with the wm rendering, as you see a delay between focused and unfocused state

Maybe you want to finesse the animations’ timing, some of them are too slow and thet can turn out to be annoying while using your computer for a while.

Where can I find this version of The Widget Factory for GTK+ 3?

#8 Benjamin Otte on 04.03.12 at 06:32

@cgb: It’s part of GTK from version 3.4 onwards. Just running gtk3-widget-factory should work.
