I read about Hipo on pg.o, and thought I’d d/l it to have a look. Unfortunately when I try to install the .deb on Edgy it doesn’t work.

Gdebi says that it can’t install because it might be corrupt. Here is the output of dpkg -i

I guess that your download is corrupt, can you try it downloading with wget from here:

wget http://www.gnome.org/~pvillavi/hipo/hipo_0.1-1_i386.deb

this is fixed on the new package that was uploaded today:

http://www.gnome.org/~pvillavi/hipo/hipo_0.1-2_i386.deb

That has installed again, and I can launch it too. I’ll tell you how it goes, once I format my iPod and can use Hipo.
