Maybe you need to have a clearer view of China and the Tibet issue before making your comment.

The olympic games are centers of greed, money and corruption. The athletes are either naive or just don't care. Most of them are corrupt as well.

The "olympic games" don't begin in Beijing. Qualifying rounds for all sports were done in past 4 years. There're already lots of doping cases. And there also last minute quitting. Reasons: "injuries"; "lack of form" and my favourite for this year: "respiratory problems". All of this are fakes: DOPING.

It's also really naive of you to think that anti-doping tests mean anything. For example cycling. Most of the cases of doping were discovered by police investigation not by any test. Festina. That french guy still maintains that he did nothing. Right!

The athletes that win anything at all are using doping. And have be using them for at least the last 40 years. But most pretend otherwise. They close their eyes. If you want a "sports spectacle" like this farce that is the olympic games, then you have to accept that athletes are going to use doping.

The spirit and ideals of the olympics and sports in general are long, long gone. All that's left is spectacle, greed, corruption. Just like the ancient olympics. Remember, the Nazi organized the games. The political boycotts. The amateur/professional controversy. Clubs releasing their players. How the city that will organize the games is decided. Just look to what happened with last one between Paris and London. Corruption.

If the athletes were really "athletes" they would have done better and just boycott the games themselves. But fame, glory, money and idolatry are much more important for them than the "sport". They deserve no respect.
