Documentation Conference

Paul Cutler sent an email to gnome-doc-list about the upcoming Writing Open Source: The Conference.  This would be a great opportunity to get some Gnome documentation people together.  We could all learn from the experiences of other open source documentation teams.  And, perhaps, they’d learn something from us.

They’ve set aside Sunday for “sprints”.  We could use that time to have a one-day Gnome docfest.  Anybody interested in going?

  1. Just to make sure credit is give, I saw this on Jim Cambell’s identi.ca feed (http://identi.ca/j1mc) and passed it along.

I really want to go, especially as I get more involved with GNOME docs, but the cost of travel plus the $250 conference fee makes it hard.

  2. I would like to go, it sounds very interesting… but I already planned my trip at the UDS in Barcelona for the end of May…

  3. Hi Shaun,

I’m a member of the Ubuntu documentation team, primarily focusing on Xubuntu documentation, and I will be attending this conference. Hopefully we will get a good group of open-source doc people there.
