With apt-get simply do apt-get install contacts. It will then moan about a library which it can't install (IIRC libebook), then do apt-get install contacts libebook=[the version it said it can't install].

This worked for me when I was debugging this probem. We'll try and release newer packages which don't break, but the proper solution is for Nokia to not ship a crippled EDS... :/

Ross, why OHand cannot make it resolable? And how would I resolve it using apt-get? When I installed rtcomm, I had to uninstall OHand stuff - there was no other way:(

Ryan, thanks I'll give it a try

I think this is still the same problem, most likely. Have you tried the GPE stuff? I've gotten it to sync with evo - try http://cleardefinition.com/page/Sync_Evolution_and_GPE_on_N800/

There is a known package conflict between the OpenedHand EDS packages, and the EDS packages provided by the Maemo rtcomm beta.

If you use apt from a terminal you can fix it and get a working system, but AppManager won't resolve the dependency tree sufficiently.
