		<description>One thing worth trying is XAA with the XAANoOffscreenPixmaps option.  It made a huge difference in window scrolling speed when I first tried enabling the Composite extension a while ago.

Ubuntu carried a patch to X that enabled this option by default, but IIRC they dropped the patch recently (it caused some problems in other areas).</description>

The mesa dri were not installed. I had to install the package libgl1-mesa-dri manually.</description>
