GNOME News
June 24, 2011 7:20 am gnome, marketingDoes everyone know about GNOME News? Since we moved gnome.org to WordPress, we have a news channel, syndicated “below the fold” on the front page of gnome.org, and updated regularly with news, announcements and articles from around the GNOME world.
In the past few weeks, we have published interviews with Desktop Summit keynotes Thomas Thwaites and Claire Rowland, some announcements related to the Desktop Summit and GNOME Asia Summit, and of course the great news that Karen Sandler recently became the GNOME Foundation’s new Executivee Director.
Since I only found out about it recently, I’m guessing that maybe others aren’t aware of it yet either. We’re always on the look-out for compelling GNOME related stories to keep it interesting too – if you have something you think we should share, contact marketing-list@gnome.org
Something to add to your feed readers.

I’d gladly add it to my feeds, if it weren’t for the fact that it doesn’t have one.

Try http://gnome.org/feed/

Shouldn’t we add that feed to the facebook GNOME page?

@Claudio: Allan Day is looking at rationalising “news about GNOME” as we speak, and consolidating news.gnome.org, gnome.org, gnome.org/news, planet GNOME, etc. So the answer is surely “yes”, but it should be part of a coherent change, I think.
Dave.

Why not add it to the planet?

Confusing, especially as there is a *different* news feed going on at http://news.gnome.org.

It would be nice if the nav bar on gnome pages was at the top of planet gnome as well. I’d be curious to see what kind of traffic planet gnome get compared to the rest of the site.
