A lot has been mentioned by Ali’s recent decision to fork GNOME. Here’s my top 5 list of things I hope he brings back into GNOME –

  • GNOME 1.4 control center with those apply and revert buttons
  • Panel tiles – they were so retro looking
  • Sawfish
  • gnome-core and gnome-libs
  • Jacob Berkman
