   Why don’t you create GObject Introspection bindings? Just document the API with GTK-Doc, add some GI annotations, a few lines in the build system and that’s it!

     I started with using gobject, but then realized that main people who will use it – probably will not have pygobject and other stuff, so I switched to swig.
