Second, an Uzi is not a high powered rifle. The story doesn’t explicitly say it is, but the headline implies it. By definition, a submachine gun cannot be high-powered.

Third, Genghis Cohen. Genghis Cohen!!

  1. Mirco Müller The level of fail is staggering. And you know I say this as a gun owner. The fact no one anticipated muzzle rise from a full-auto Uzi (probably 9×19) in the hands of a child is inexplicable.

  2. I’m a bloody layman regarding weapons, but don’t you gradually bring people (child or adult) closer to the subject with practise? One would not start to ride motorcycles by hopping on a Ducati 1199 either.

  3. Exactly.

I am an experienced shooter. But I do not shoot fully automatic firearms on any sort of regular basis. I would definitely prepare both mentally and physically shooting on full auto. Even with a pistol caliber.

    And I’m an experienced adult.
