  1. Wow, that is going above and beyond. Especially staffing it 24×7 365. The much promised WH line had me on an hour hold the other day before my signal dropped (or was hung up on), and it is only open M-F 8-5 EST. Despite promising it would be 24/7 and get answered timely.

  2. I am willing to bet that Cigna’s hotline is way less likely to send police for a suicide crisis too. The one the VA runs will send police. And that ALWAYS goes well.

  3. Rugger Ducky You know I love you, but …

WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU G-PLOOSING?

Go recuperate. Go … just be.

And thanks. I’m here for you. And when my employer says, “We’re here for you,” it makes me content in my career.

Dial when you need to. And tell me if the experience is less than 100% awesome. Because those that serve(d) deserve nothing less.

    We love you.

  4. Rugger Ducky I just called the toll-free, and got a human within 20 seconds. ID’ed myself as a Cigna employee, and confirmed my creds.

I wanted to make sure your fears from the VA were addressed. I confirmed that if a vet calls and mentions suicidal ideations, they will be transferred to one of the 24x7x365 clinicians. No bus dispatch, so no permanent VA record.

I think Cigna’s (mostly) got this right. Any and all vets, tell me if we don’t.
