It wasn’t meant to be a punk retrospective, just kind of turned out that way. Good post mate.

My NOT misspent youth.
It all seemed so important. So urgent. So … now or never.
And here we are almost 40 years later, democracy is truly dying, our youth has faded, the youth of today care more about selfies and “reality” TV …
… and the only thing I care about is if the embers of society will be enough to warm my hands.
Fuck. It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
Kurt von Finck but punk is as relevant today as it was in the mid 70s. It changed everything. Those cultural ripples are still being felt. Maybe not in the mainstream. But look at indie music. Punks not dead.
Punk’s not dead. But society is on life support.
Kurt von Finck society is getting to be as fucked up as it was in the punk days. Perhaps the youth of today will kick out again. Stir things up again. We’re about due for it. You just need to keep an ear to the ground.
Greg Newholm I’m always afraid my ear to the ground is actually on a railway.
