Yorba has released version 0.9.3 of Shotwell, an update to our digital photo organizer. This is a bug fix release; we recommend all users update.
Changelog:
- Resolves issue where setting the desktop background didn’t work in Gnome3
- Mimics are now deleted when a RAW photo is removed
- Event dates are now only shown once in the Event view
- Fixes a number of translation issues

Fantastic work, I like shotwell a lot!
I’d like to see the windows version coming back. I understand there’s no maintainer but it’d be great to have it back.
What about Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal?
Vitalink — Ubuntu Natty already contains Shotwell 0.9. The Ubuntu packagers will release 0.9.3 in the official repositories.
(Looks like the link to Shotwell home page is broken, should be http://yorba.org/shotwell/ instead of pointing to the blog subdomain)
Thanks, it’s now fixed.
Publishing images to flickr does not work (ubuntu 11.04 with shotwell 0.9.2 and 0.9.3). After apearing of the login dialog all further clicks perform no reactions. Anybody else got this problem?
It’s a known issue; you can still tab between controls, but clicking does not work. This will be fixed in Shotwell 0.10.
hn, on natty, and have upgraded to 0.9.3, hoping to be rid of duplicate dates in the event view. but alas, i still have many, many dates that show up twice. including if i install it afresh, on a new machine, and rebuild db… perhapsI should see if there’s a bug that can be filed on it.
What do you mean by “duplicate dates”?
