ANNOUNCE: Empathy 0.13

The announce is here. I opened a branch for VoIP support, it more or less work but don’t expect too much atm.

  1. I am using Empathy but i miss the option to let empathy automatically login to my IM accounts. I also miss the option to enable and disable the automatically startup of empathy if i login to my desktop. I also mis a entry in the start menu.

    I think empathy is great application and i can not wait to use the VoIP in the jabber and the MSN protocol.

  2. Empathy is started automatically with gnome-session, you can disable it in gnome-session-properties, it’s intentional to not have a start menu because it’s a session service like network/power-manager.

  4. Étienne, gnome a de la VoIP (avec vidéo éventuelle) depuis des années… gnomemeeting/ekiga!

  5. Snark> Ekiga n’est pas dans le desktop GNOME depuis longtemps et il ne fait pas de la VoIP via Jabber/MSN/etc… Cela dit il est bien plus stable 😉

    Btw, I merged VoIP in HEAD but not build by default, you need to configure with –enable-voip=yes
