Yorba has released Geary 0.4.2, an update of our IMAP email client. The only change in this release is:
* Update to compile with Vala 0.22.1
The tarball for Geary 0.4.2 is available at http://yorba.org/download/geary/0.4/geary-0.4.2.tar.xz
Ubuntu Quantal and Raring users can update by subscribing to Yorba’s PPA. We hope this release will be available in Ubuntu’s Sauncy repository shortly.
I haven’t seen an update yet in Ubuntu Saucy. I would love to start using Geary 0.4.2!
It may take a little time. Note that there really is no additional functionality or bugs fixed with 0.4.2. The changes are purely to get around some compilation errors that have almost no quantitative impact on Geary.
I’m more concerned with version 0.4.1. It fixes a critical connection bug that’s driving me crazy, and yet it still isn’t in Saucy. Can you please make it available for Saucy in the Yorba PPA until Ubuntu gets around to updating?
I’ve contacted Ubuntu about the problem. If they elect not to take 0.4.1 or 0.4.2, we’ll post it on our PPA for Saucy.
I notice that 0.4.2 for Saucy has hit the Yorba PPA. Thanks!
