Ice Cream Deathmatch
I heard that there are several fans of ice cream in the GNOME project.
I created the page IceCreamDeathmatch. So, feel free to add your name (if you can “carry that weight”). There is no place, date and time defined yet. But it will happen!!!
Do not have much hope, because I will win!
And the name is…
Hello you all! Thanks for comments on my previous post. I’m a very encouraged artist now. 🙂
I’ve selected the best name for the Simon clone: Garfunkel. Thanks to Christian Sasso, who suggested the name. Do you like it?
For those who wants the SVG, checkout it from the gnome-edu module at GNOME Subversion repository.
I’m working (slowly, because I have not many time) on the code and I’ll release it as soon as possible.
Dear Masters of the Coding Art,
What is the best way to draw the SVG (please keep in mind I’m writing a game) into the widget? Using LibRSVG and GdkPixbuf (as in Monkey-Bubble) or using rsvg_handle_render_cairo? Thanks for your very welcome help.
Another name for GSimon
The new (temp) name of GSimon is Genius. I’m still checking for legal issues related to this name, but I think is a good name for a Simon clone.
Also, I left the direct drawing on Cairo to use librsvg (which can bring up different themes for the game). I’m not a good artist, so what you think about the default theme?
Comments are very welcome. I need an icon for Genius too.
FISL 9.0
Dear GNOMErs,
If you’re going to FISL 9.0, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, please add your name in our “Who are going” list: http://live.gnome.org/FISL/2008.
See’ya!
GSimon is coming!
I’ve worked in a game called gsimon, a Simon clone for GNOME. It’s my first code using Cairo and I hope will be the fist project of many others.
I’ll code some educational software/games and propose to add a “gnome-edu” module in GNOME. GNOME needs educational stuff.
What do you think about it?
Yet about custom widgets with Cairo
Dear lazyweb,
Thanks for all who gave me tips about my previous post. Now, I have another issue:
That’s a cairo widget with four paths. Is there a way to treat each path individually?
Thanks again!
Custom widgets with Cairo.
Dear lazyweb:
Is there a way to create a custom widget with Cairo so that it is “clickable” only in the painted area?

e.g.: capture the mouse click only in the white area.
Accounts for Membership Committee
Dear Accounts Team / Sysadmin members,
As a new member of the GNOME Foundation Membership Committee, I’d like to ask your help about some tickets of accounts’ queue. We need you to process the tickets #4068, #4069 (by Luciana) and #4354 (by Fernando). Luciana and Fernando can’t do the Membership Committee work without their accounts. Maybe some (or all) tickets already been processed, so we need password reset for them.
Also, I’d like to be part of Accounts Team too. If it’s possible, what I need to do?
Thanks a lot!!!
Bugsquad wiki pages remake
Dear Bugsquaders,
Looking at these two messages on the Bugsquad mail list, I think it’s time to work on a rewrite (or a little organization) of the Bugsquad pages on the GNOME Wiki.
We need suggestions which can be sent just replying those messages. Also, we need volunteers to do that work.
Let’s make the Bugsquad rock more and more!
