So no out of the box support for Ogg Vorbis and FLAC ??
@Sander: No – the enhancement requests for these two are still open in bugs.maemo.org. Feel free to vote for them!
It would be nice if the website mentioned Maemo is a Debian derivative. It would also be nice if the device ran pure Debian instead of a derivative distro.
@foo: I think that less than 5% of the endusers care what Debian is.
You’re free to help the EasyDebian project plus you have root access on the N900, hence you can install what you want. It’s up to you. Nokia “only” provides hardware and a default system.
foo, the Debian logo is here:
http://maemo.nokia.com/maemo/
@foo: I can live with your Debian fanboyism, but you don’t need to tag every single blog out there with your opinion. I’ve seen your comment three times today (Alberto’s, Murray’s and my blog).
I don’t think that mass-commenting is helpful for the thing you’re fighting for.
I do not really understand what U R all talking about, and do not care so much, but this is finally again a NOKIA I could imagine to want, if my motorola ever dies and I do not buy an IPhone
srzmpf
But I am, too, proud of you and your team
P.S. -> Maemo is a Debian derivative… so what, I guess people who knows really Maemo knows it already and we (the other 99,8%) do not care about it… That is what I think about it…
Cheers
Dz
