GNOME Foundation Board, 2008

Now that the final results of the GNOME Foundation’s Board of Directors Elections were published, it’s a good time to thank everyone who voted in me. I’m really surprised about the number of votes I got! Be sure that I’ll give my best.

I think we’ve got a very good team on Board and I’m very excited about our 2008 plans. We’ve already started to work on some really cool things!

  1. congratulation to your election!

    I have a question:

Is (L)GPLv3 on the agenda of the board? I’m surprised that i can read nothing about moving to GPLv3 (GNOME) and LGPLv3 (Gtk+ and additional GNOME-libs) on the GNOME and Gtk+ mailing list. Even the KDE guys discussing GPLv3 and prepare KDE for the switch.
From GNOME and Gtk+ which are both GNU packages i would expect more action in this regard.
