NetworkManager code was cleaned up adding and using accessors to various settings. Libgnome/ui got killed this week in libgames-support (and that finally makes gnome-games libgnome free) (by Thomas H.P. Andersen), goffice (by Jean Brefort) and gnome-settings-daemon (by Jens Granseuer). Brasero has been proposed for inclusion in 2.26 and continues to see a steady flow of bug fixes. This week… 1938 commits, in 197 projects, by 203 happy hackers (and 378 were translation commits).

The libgnome-removal quest continues this week with Thomas H.P. Andersen nailing it down in several games (gnometris, gnotravex, gnotski and iagno) and Cosima Cecchi killing it off baobab. While at it Thomas also updated gnometris from gnome-vfs to gio; and speaking of games Jason Clinton and Christian Persh hacked on the new Clutter-based aisleriot. GDM gained back real automatic and timed login. Gnome Power Manager switched to use libcanberra and the sound theme rather than shipping its own sounds and directly using GStreamer. On the translators front, Djihed Afifi commited lots of updates from the Arabic team and Stéphane Raimbault and Claude Paroz started hacking on a Django-based port of Damned Lies, the site that offers l10n.gnome.org.

Alongside Alexander Larsson finishing the removal of libgnome usage from Nautilus, other hackers and projects made the same kind of changes, Ignacio Casal Quinteiro in Anjuta, Christian Persch in gnome-games and totem, Francisco Rojas in gyrus (GNOME IMAP/Cyrus Administrator), Iain Holmes in Marlin (who also started porting it from gnome-vfs to gio). In GTK+ land, Michael Natterer implemented the GtkOrientable interface on GtkBox and Robert Staudinger moved libccss out of his gtk-css-engine and proposed a plan for theming in gtk3. Finally Gjs (Javascript bindings for GNOME) has landed in Subversion (Havoc and Lucas blogged about it already).
