  • The new call support in Empathy has been made default, the old “empathy-av” has been removed.
  • György Balló contributed a port of gnome-blog from gnome-vfs to gio. (GNOME bug 612630)
  • Hubert Figuière added support for date properties to Niepce.
  • Lukasz Pawlik fixed the handling of byte range requests in gupnp. (GNOME bug 670518)
  • In gnome-shell Florian Müllner added support for external asynchronous search providers. (GNOME bug 663125)
  • And gnome-documents got a D-Bus service implementing that gnome-shell external search API. (GNOME bug 662453)
  • Marc Deslauriers fixed gnome-screensaver to properly turn off capslock warning when the key is released. (GNOME bug 669769)
  • Richard Hughes updated gnome-color-manager to correctly restore the calibration status panel after asking the user a question.
  • In file-roller Paolo Bacchilega added an overwrite confirmation dialog when extracting files with drag&drop. (GNOME bug 590609)
  • Bastien Nocera added support for AMZ AmazonMP3 download files to totem-pl-parser. (GNOME bug 668686)
  • Tiffany Antopolski, Susanna Huhtanen, Phil Bull and others at the documentation hackfest contributed many updates to the gnome-devel-docs tutorials.
  • In gnome-games Robert Ancell updated both quadrapessel and lightsoff to use GMenu.
  • In anjuta Marco Diego Aurélio Mesquita contributed the automatic addition of callbacks when user double-clicks a signal in the glade signal editor. (GNOME bug 670149)
  • Ignacio Casal Quinteiro updated gedit to use GResource.
  • Andreas J. Guelzow fixed the edition of decimals in gnumeric. (GNOME bug 670558)

  • Ruben Vermeersch updated f-spot to show import failures after the import command is done.
  • Nate Stedman made ease use a single instance, using libunique.
  • A long list of deprecations (GdkImage, GdkGC…) has landed in the GTK+ 2.21 branch, to match functions and objects that were removed in GTK+ 3.
  • Andrea Cimitan added blur capabilities to his Murrine GTK+ engine.
  • GEdit got a GSettings migration file (GNOME bug 619898).
  • In GNOME Color Manager Richard Hugues added the possibility to flick between different images in the profile viewer.
  • Validation of UTF-8 strings when serializing from blob has been added to GDBus.
  • GNOME Power Manager EggConsoleKit has been converted to use GDBus.
  • Philip Withnall added a key-file backend to folks, to store links made between contacts.
  • Epiphany web inspector got new capabilities, including docking in Epiphany’s window, Gustavo Noronha Silva wrote about this in WebKitGTK+ and the Web Inspector.
  • Aaron Bockover added the Amazon MP3 server proxy code tat is used to redirect the user to the correct Amazon store, set the Amazon Affiliate ID on requests, and generally provide a level of indirection.
  • Bastien Nocera added support for Last.fm’s new XSPF extensions to totem-pl-parser.
  • Jiří Techet introduced a memory cache, and removed the non-persistent file cache, to store tiles in libchamplain.
  • The summer of code is ending soon, Luca Invernizzi ported his Getting Things Gnome Evolution plugin to be a proper backend, Jamie Nicol added the ability to download free songs from Last.fm in Rhythmbox, etc.

  • Jesse van den Kieboom updated gitg to have option for local branches in the History view. (GNOME bug 602536)
  • Conduit has been ported to GtkBuilder.
  • Felix Riemann updated Eog to use GtkInfoBar instead of their custom message area widget.
  • Libchamplain got support to display a scale with the current unit size on the map. Pierre-Luc Beaudoin wrote about this new feature in Can you spot what’s new? on his weblog.
  • Florian Scandella changed the GNOME Shell to autohide the sidebar when in compatch mode. (GNOME bug 604118)
  • Also in the GNOME Shell, Dan Winship changed the messaging area to use the notification daemon instead of talking directly with Telepathy, the bug report has the rationale. (GNOME bug 606331)
  • Introspection support has been added to totem-pl-parser. (GNOME bug 555848)
  • A new and proper build system found its way to gnome-icon-theme.
  • Empathy merged the audio and video icons of the contact window, as there is now a context menu allowing to start audio and video calls.
  • Also both libnotify and notification-daemon have been imported onto git.gnome.org.

  • Brasero got a way to switch between different project types, for example converting from an audio project to a data project. (GNOME bug 558440)
  • The Evolution contact map plugin by Cédric Bosdonnat has been commited, Cédric announced the plugin in Maps for Evolution. (GNOME bug 361156)
  • An iPhone port of Dasher has been pushed.
  • Cheese saw ports from HAL to gudev (GNOME bug 594966), from EphySpinner to GtkSnipper (GNOME bug 598445), and from straight GStreamer to libcanberra (GNOME bug 603152).
  • Support for callback functions has been pushed into gjs. (GNOME bug 563025)
  • Paolo Bacchilega updated file roller to use an EggFileFormatChooser widget for file format selection.
  • Diego Escalante Urrelo worked hard updating the API docs of Epiphany. (GNOME bug 503852)
  • Support for compression has been added to the TIFF pixbuf loader. (GNOME bug 584700)
  • Matt Kraai made the totem-pl-parser library thread-safe. (GNOME bug 572705)
  • Jonathon Jongsma refactored error reporting in Evolution to separate error from dialogs. (GNOME bug 602963)
